A fantastic opportunity has arisen for two experienced CNC Form Grinders to join a globally recognised precision engineering company at their state-of-the-art machining facility in Wednesbury.
This well-established family-owned business, with over 40 years of engineering excellence, specialises in the manufacture of high precision EDM components for the aerospace industry. With continued growth and investment in new technology, they are expanding their engineering team and looking for skilled machinists to join them.
The Role
As a CNC Form Grinder, you will be responsible for producing high precision components within a fast-paced machining environment where quality and accuracy are critical.
You will be working with Jones & Shipman Format 5 CNC surface grinding machines, ensuring components meet exact engineering specifications and aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Jones & Shipman Format 5 CNC surface grinders
- Produce high precision aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Work to production schedules and deadlines
- Identify and resolve machining or production issues using your own initiative
- Work both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team
Experience Required
- Proven experience in CNC form grinding or surface grinding
- Experience operating Jones & Shipman Format 5 grinders
- Experience with Jones & Shipman X & E surface grinders would be advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced precision engineering environment
