Starkey Recruitment Group are working with a well-established family-run aerospace engineering company with an excellent reputation for quality and precision manufacturing within the UK aerospace sector.
Due to continued growth and investment, they are now looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to join their 5-Axis machining cell at their Wednesbury facility.

The Role
As a CNC Machinist you will be responsible for setting, programming and operating 5-Axis CNC milling machines to produce high precision aerospace components.
Your duties will include:
- Setting and operating 5-Axis CNC machines including Hurco, Mazak and Roeder
- Conversational programming using Hurco WinMax software at the console
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances (sub 0.05mm)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out first-off inspection and self-checking using measuring equipment
- Manufacturing one-off and batch components
- Ensuring production targets are achieved in line with the production schedule
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Minimum 10 years CNC machining experience
- Strong experience setting, operating and conversational programming Hurco CNC milling machines
- Experience working with 5-Axis machining centres
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience machining to tight tolerances (sub 0.05mm)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desirable:
- Aerospace industry experience
- Experience machining graphite
