A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation operating within a lower tier COMAH facility.
This is a senior leadership role, leading a highly skilled team of engineers and playing a key part in driving safety, performance, and continuous improvement across the site.
🔧 The Role
You will take full responsibility for the Electrical & Instrumentation function, leading a team of 14 engineers along with external contractors, ensuring high standards across maintenance, projects, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the Electrical & Instrumentation team
- Overseeing design, specification, and installation of all E&I equipment
- Managing capital projects and maintenance budgets
- Driving reliability through effective maintenance systems
- Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
- Liaising with internal teams and external bodies including HSE & EA
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- HNC (minimum) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Instrumentation & Control (Degree desirable)
- 10+ years industry experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Strong background in Instrumentation & Control within a process environment
- Expertise in PLC/HMI programming (RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View)
- Knowledge of ATEX / hazardous areas and functional safety
- Experience using CMMS systems
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
