An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Revit Technician to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering major infrastructure and engineering projects across the utilities, rail and wider regulated sectors.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled Revit professional with strong technical drawing and 3D modelling experience who enjoys working collaboratively with design engineers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget.

The Role

As a Senior Revit Technician, you will play a key role in the production of detailed engineering drawings and BIM models for complex infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure all deliverables meet required technical, quality and project standards.

You will also support junior technicians, contribute to programme delivery and help drive best practice across CAD and BIM processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality design drawings and 3D models to programme and budget requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Design Engineers to develop coordinated engineering drawings and models
  • Ensure drawings comply with relevant CAD standards, industry regulations and good practice
  • Develop and maintain accurate Revit models and technical documentation
  • Use standard details and design standards when preparing design deliverables
  • Manage workload effectively and assist with estimating timescales for design tasks
  • Work within formal project processes and quality procedures
  • Use ProjectWise and document management systems effectively
  • Minimise rework through accurate and coordinated design production
  • Support continuous improvement within BIM and CAD delivery processes

Requirements

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in drafting/design technician roles
  • Strong experience using Revit within engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Excellent understanding of engineering principles and technical drawings
  • Experience producing detailed 2D and 3D engineering models
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • High attention to detail and quality standards

Desirable Experience

  • HNC qualification or higher in Engineering, Design or related discipline
  • Experience within rail, utilities, water or regulated infrastructure sectors
  • Working knowledge of relevant CAD and BIM standards
  • Experience using ProjectWise or similar document management systems
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design models
