Due to continued growth and investment, we are recruiting two experienced Operations Managers to join one of the UK’s leading warehouse and distribution operations.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a busy warehouse operation, ensuring safety, productivity, quality and customer service remain at the highest standard.
You’ll lead an experienced management team whilst developing future talent, driving operational excellence and ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently every day.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll be visible on the warehouse floor, motivating teams and delivering exceptional operational performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation across your shift
- Inspire, coach and develop Warehouse Managers, Team Leaders and operational teams
- Drive productivity, service levels and operational KPIs
- Ensure exceptional Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times
- Maintain stock accuracy, quality and warehouse compliance
- Plan resources to meet changing customer demand and business growth
- Support the introduction of new products and increased warehouse volumes
- Monitor staffing levels and workforce planning
- Ensure all warehouse processes are completed efficiently and on time
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth business performance
- Manage warehouse consumables and operational budgets
- Ensure Material Handling Equipment (MHE) inspections, LOLER compliance and maintenance schedules are completed
- Oversee third-party security providers and maintain high site standards
- Support facilities and maintenance activities across the warehouse
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys developing people and improving operations.
You’ll have:
✅ Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Site Manager or Senior Warehouse Manager
✅ Experience managing large warehouse or distribution centre operations
✅ A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop large teams
✅ Strong Health & Safety knowledge
✅ Experience delivering operational KPIs and performance targets
✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills
✅ At least two years’ experience in an operational management role
✅ The ability to build strong relationships across different departments
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) would be advantageous.

Qualifications
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent experience.
